5/3 Assistant coach Jim O'Brien announced his retirement. He had
been an assistant coach for Dallas for 12-13. Kaleb Canales
was hired as an assistant coach.
4/13 Dallas signed Josh Akognon for the rest of the season after he
completed his 1st 10-day contract.
4/3 Dallas released Justin Dentmon and signed Josh Akognon to a
10-day contract.
3/30 Dallas recalled Jared Cunningham from the NBADL.
3/25 Dallas signed Justin Dentmon to a 10-day contract.
3/23 Dallas eleccted not to sign Chris Wright to a 2nd 10-day
contract after he completed his 1st 10-day contract and
released him.

10/15 After the Houston game, Dallas suspended Delonte West for
"conduct detrimental to the team" - reports were that West
and coach Carlisle exchanged words. West talked with
Carlisle and GM Donn Nelson the next day and it ended up
being just a one day suspension.
10/1 Dallas released Tu Holloway and DJ Mbenga.
9/29 Dallas extended the contract of team doctor T.O. Souryal for 5
years.
9/28 Dallas signed Josh Akognon, Tu Holloway, and DJ Mbenga to
non-guaranteed contracts.

8/7 Portland named Terry Stotts as head coach. Stotts had been an
assistant coach for Dallas for the past 4 seasons.
7/26 Dallas re-signed Delonte West.
7/25 Dallas signed 2nd round draft pick (#33) Bernard James.
7/21 Dallas signed 1st round draft pick (#24) Jared Cunningham to a
2 year, $2,399,400 contract with 2 more years worth $3,655,400
at the team's option.
7/20 Dallas signed 2nd round draft pick (#34) Jae Crowder
7/19 Dallas signed Memphis free agent O.J. Mayo to a 2 year contract
with the 2nd year at the player's option.
7/18 Boston signed Dallas free agent Jason Terry to a 3 year, $15.6
million contract.
7/14 Charlotte made the winning bid for Dallas amnestied player
Brendan Haywood and, thus, he joins the Bobcats. The bid was
reported as $6 million ($2 million per year) for the remaining
3 years of Haywood's contract. Dallas still pays Haywood the
salary they owed Haywood, minus the $2 million Charlotte pays
him - but Haywood no longer counts against Dallas' salary cap
or luxury tax.
7/13 Dallas made the winning bid for amnestied player Elton Brand at
for a reported 1 year, $2.1 million and, thus he joins the
Mavericks. [Philadelphia still has to pay Brand $16 million
($18.1 million minus Dallas' salary) for the final year of his
contract, but that amount does not count against Philadelphia's
salary cap or luxury tax. For a player that is amnestied,
teams can make a blind bid for that player and the highest bid
gets the player.]
7/13 Dallas signed New Orleans free agent Chris Kaman to a 1 year,
$8 million contract.
7/12 TRADE: In a sign-and-trade, Dallas re-signed Ian Mahinmi to a
4 year, $16 million contract and traded him to Indiana for Darren
Collison and Dahntey Jones.
7/12 Dallas used the amnesty clause on Brendan Haywood and released
him. The team will have to continue to pay the remainder of his
contract (minus any amount if another team picks him up), but it
will not count against the salary cap or the luxury tax.
7/12 Dallas free agent Jason Kidd formally signed his new 3 year, $9
million contract with New York.
