The NBA announced the contestants for the All-Star Shootout.  They are:
Dirk Nowitzki (Dal), Steve Nash (Dal), Allan Houston (NY), Predrag
Stojakovic (Sac), Pat Garrity (Orl), Ray Allen (Mil), Rashard Lewis (Sea), 
and Bryon Russell (Uta).  The 3-point shooting contest will take placed on 
All-Star Saturday (February 10) in Washington.

Dallas activated Greg Buckner and placed Donnell Harvey on IR with
tendinitis in his right elbow.

Atlanta signed Tony Smith to a 10-day contract and released Sean Colson.

Boston signed Milt Palacio to a 2nd 10-day contract on Monday.  [thanks to

Portland activated Antonio Harvey and placed Scottie Pippen on IR with
tendinitis in his right elbow.

San Antonio activated Shawnelle Scott and placed Ira Newble on IR with a
sprained right wrist.

Utah activated Scott Padgett and placed David Benoit on IR with a strained
right deltoid muscle.

Washington activated Mitch Richmond and placed Laron Profit on IR with
back spasms.

Michael Finley (Dal) had 20 points including 9-14 FG.
Dirk Nowitzki (Dal) had 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Steve Nash (Dal) had 21 points and 7 assists.
Hubert Davis (Dal) had 19 points.
Shareef Abdur-Rahim (Van) had 13 points on 2-10 FG and 9-10 FT and 10
rebounds.
Mike Bibby (Van) had 13 points and 5 assists.
Dal shot 52.3% (46-88) FG and Van shot 37.8% (28-74) FG.

Tim Duncan (SA) had 36 points including 15-23 FT and 21 rebounds.
David Robinson (SA) had 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Derek Anderson (SA) had 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Predrag Stojakovic (Sac) had 23 points and 7 rebounds.
Chris Webber (Sac) had 23 points on 8-25 FG and 7-12 FT and 11 rebounds.
SA shot 51.2% (42-82) FG and Sac shot 38.8% (33-85) FG.

Rasheed Wallace (Por) had 22 points.
Dale Davis (Por) had 16 points including 7-9 FG, 10 rebounds, and 4
blocks.
Steve Smith (Por) had 22 points including 10-16 FG, 6 rebounds, and 5
assists.
Reggie Miller (Ind) had 18 points and 5 rebounds.
Austin Croshere (Ind) had 23 points including 9-15 FG and 10 rebounds.
Arvydas Sabonis (Por, back spasms) did not play.

Donyell Marshall (Uta) had 24 points and 6 rebounds.
Karl Malone (Uta) had 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists.
John Stockton (Uta) had 15 points including the game winning 2 technical
free throws with 1.3 seconds left, 6 rebounds, and 10 assists.  Nick Van
Exel (Den) called timeout with 1.3 seconds left which resulted in a
technical as Denver was out of timeouts and then got a T for complaining.
Antonio McDyess (Den) had 24 points including 8-13 FT and 12 rebounds.
Nick Van Exel (Den) had 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Voshon Lenard (Den) had 23 points including 4-6 3-pointers.

Min 109, Orl 100 - at Min
Wally Szczerbiak (Min) had 22 points including 9-12 FG.
Kevin Garnett (Min) had 16 points, 18 rebounds, and 8 assists.
LaPhonso Ellis (Min) had 24 points including 8-10 FT and 8 rebounds.
Tracy McGrady (Orl) had 28 points and 8 rebounds.
Darrell Armstrong (Orl) had 21 points and 6 rebounds.
