The NBA named Shaquille O'Neal (LAL) as Player of the Week.  O'Neal
averaged 35.8 points including 51-83 FG, 11.5 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks as
the Lakers went 4-0.
 
The NBA fined Lamar Odom (LAC) $7,500 for verbally abusing a ref and
failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection in
Friday's LAC-Mil game.

Detroit activated Brian Cardinal and placed Billy Owens on IR with back
spasms.
 
Eddy Curry (South Holland Thornwood High School (Illinois), forward) and
Michael Wright (junior, Arizona, forward) declared themselves eligible for
the NBA draft.
