Portland claimed Rodrick Rhodes off of the waiver wire.

The NBA Players Association named Alonzo Mourning (Mia), Sam Mitchell
(Min), Ray Allen (Mil), Jerome Williams (Det), Theo Ratliff (Phi), and
Antonio Davis (Tor) as vice presidents.  President Patrick Ewing (NY) has
1 year left on his term.

Free agents Rasheed Lewis (Sea) and Tim Thomas (Mil) have decided to
re-sign with their teams.  The signing period opens August 1.
