News from August 10.

The LA Clippers named Alvin Gentry as head coach.  Gentry signed a 4 year
contract.  He was an assistant coach for San Antonio last season.

The LA Lakers signed 2nd round draft pick (#54) Cory Hightower to a 1 year
contract with a 2nd year at the team's option.

Orlando signed Troy Hudson to a 2 year, minimum contract.

Sacramento re-signed Jon Barry to a 3 year contract.

San Antonio signed Danny Ferry to a 1 year, $1 million contract.

Seattle signed 2nd round draft pick (#42) Olumide Oyedeji to a 1 year
contract with a 2nd year at the team's option.

Utah signed John Crotty.

Tim Duncan (SA) withdrew his name from the USA Basketball Men's Olympic
team as his right knee has not fully healed yet.  His replacement has not
been announced.
