TRADE: Indiana trade Dale Davis to Portland for Jermaine O'Neal and Joe
Kleine.  In a sign-and-trade, Kleine was first signed to a 3 year contract
with only the 1st year guaranteed.

Phoenix released Randy Livingston.


On the lighter side
Christian Laettner on a reported fight on an airplane between him and then 
teammate Jerry Stackhouse (from rival UNC and came out of school early):
"It wasn't a fight.  He punched me one time, that's all.  I don't fight at
30,000 feet.  I have an education."
