The NBA named Tim Duncan (SA) and Jason Kidd (NJ) as Players of the Week.
Duncan averaged 39.3 points, 15 rebounds, and 4.3 blocks as San Antonio went
1-2.  Kidd averaged 13 points, 11.7 rebounds, 13 assists, and 3.3 steals as
New Jersey went 3-0.

The NBA fined Derrick Coleman (Phi) $7,500 and suspended him for 1 game for
the punch he threw at Karl Malone (Uta) during Saturday's Phi-Uta game.

The NBA fined coach Larry Brown (Phi) $7,500 for criticizing the refs
following Saturday's Phi-Uta game.

Denver named Clyde Drexler as an assistant coach.
