News from March 18.

The NBA named Tim Duncan (SA) and Tracy McGrady (Orl) as Players of the
Week.  Duncan averaged 26.3 points and 11.5 rebounds as San Antonio went
4-0.  McGrady averaged 31.3 points, 10 assists, and 7.7 rebounds as
Orlando went 3-0.

Minnesota signed Robert Pack to a 10-day contract and placed William Avery
on IR with tendinitis in his right knee.

Sacramento signed Chucky Brown for the rest of the season.

Phoenix activated Joe Crispin and placed Tom Gugliotta on IR with a stress
fracture in his right foot.

Seattle signed Randy Livingston to a 2nd 10-day contract.

Denver signed Carlos Arroyo to a 2nd 10-day contract.

Marcus Halip (junior, Tennessee, forward) declared himself eligible for 
the NBA draft.  He joins Carlos Boozer (junior, Duke, forward), Frank 
Williams (junior, Illinois, guard), and Jason Williams (junior, Duke, 
guard) as underclassmen who have declared themselves eligible for the
draft.  Underclassmen have until May 12 to declared themselves eligible
