TRADE: In a sign-and-trade, Houston re-signed Hakeem Olajuwon to a 3 year,
$16.7 million contract.  Houston traded Hakeem Olajuwon to Toronto for a 
1st round draft pick and a 2nd round draft pick in 2002.  The 1st round 
draft pick is lottery protected over the next 7 years.

Dallas signed Khalid El-Amin and Darrick Martin to 1 year, minimum
contracts.

Detroit signed 1st round draft pick Rodney White (#9) to a 3 year,
$5,461,680 with a 4th year worth $2,481,242 at the team's option.

Minnesota re-signed Felipe Lopez to a 1 year, minimum contract with a 2nd
year at the player's option.

San Antonio signed Stephen Jackson to a 2 year, $1.25 million contract
with the 2nd year at the player's option.

San Antonio signed Charles Smith to a 1 year, minimum contract with a 2nd
year at the team's option.
