News from January 16.

The NBA announced the participants for this year's Rookie-Sophomore game
to take placed February 8 in Atlanta.  The Rookie team consists of Carlos 
Boozer (Cle), Caron Butler (Mia), Gordan Giricek (Mem), Drew Gooden (Mem),
Nene Hilario (Den), Amare Stoudemire (Pho), Dajuan Wagner (Cle), Jay 
Williams (Chi), and Yao Ming (Hou).  The Sophomore team consists of Gilbert
Arenas (GS), Tyson Chandler (Chi), Pau Gasol (Mem), Richard Jefferson (NJ),
Andrei Kirilenko (Uta), Troy Murphy(GS), Tony Parker (SA), Jason Richardson
(GS), and Jamaal Tinsley (Ind).

The NBA reinstated Stanley Roberts.  Roberts had been suspended by the NBA
in 3 years ago for violating the league's anti-drug policy.

Boston signed Grant Long to a 10-day contract and released Mikki Moore.

Toronto terminated the contract of Nate Huffman stating that he had 
pre-existing knee problems that he did not disclose to the team when he
signed with them.

Brendan Haywood (Was) had 16 points including 6-9 FG and 6 rebounds.
Michael Jordan (Was) had 32 points including 8-10 FT, 6 rebounds, and 8
assists.
Larry Hughes (Was) had 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Tracy McGrady (Orl) had 31 points including 7-12 FT, 6 rebounds, and 5
assists.
Mike Miller (Orl) had 14 points and 5 assists.
Jerry Stackhouse (Det, pulled left groin) did not play.

Uta 92, Sea 85  at Uta
Matt Harpring (Uta) had 26 points and 9 rebounds.
Karl Malone (Uta) had 34 points including 14-23 FG, 9 rebounds, 5 steals,
and 6 turnovers.
Andrei Kirilenko (Uta) had 13 points including 6-7 FG, 8 rebounds, and 5
assists.
Gary Payton (Sea) had 27 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Desmond Mason (Sea) had 11 points and 6 rebounds.
Vladimir Radmanovic (Sea, sprained right ankle) did not play.
