Orlando named Dee Brown as director of player development.

Dikembe Mutombo (NJ) underwent surgery on his right wrist to repair a
torn ligament.  He is expected to be out up to 4 months.

Portland fined Ruben Patterson $100,000 for conduct detrimental to the
team for his recent arrest for domestic abuse.  The charges were dropped.
