News from April 1.

The NBA named Kobe Bryant (LAL) and Lamar Odom (Mia) as Players of the Month
for March.  Bryant averaged 25.3 points and 5.3 assists as the Lakers went
13-3.  Odom averaged 17.4 points and 10.9 rebounds as Miami went 12-3.

The NBA named Hubie Brown (Mem) and Stan Van Gundy (Mia) as Coaches of the
Month for March.  Memphis went 13-2.  Miami went 12-3.

The NBA named Carmelo Anthony (Den) and LeBron James (Cle) as Rookies of the
Month for March.  Anthony averaged 23.6 points and 5.4 rebounds.  James
averaged 22.2 points and 5.9 assists.

Toronto fired GM Glen Grunwald and named Jack McCloskey as interim GM.

New Jersey signed Anthony Goldwire to a 2nd 10-day contract.
