News from April 15.

The NBA named Kevin Garnett (Min) and Jamaal Magloire (NO) as Players of
the Month for April.  Garnett averaged 22.7 points and 14.3 rebounds as
Minnesota went 6-0.  Magloire averaged 21.7 points and 12.1 rebounds and
New Orleans went 4-3.

The NBA named Flip Saunders (Min) and Larry Brown (Det) as Coaches of the 
Month for April.  Minnesota went 6-0 and Detroit went 6-1.

The NBA named Carmelo Anthony (Den) and LeBron James (Cle) as Rookies of
the Month for April.  Anthony averaged 22.5 points and 6.5 rebounds as 
Denver clinched a playoff berth.  James averaged 20.9 points, 5.3 
rebounds, and 7.8 assists.  Both players won Rookie of the Month for each 
month of the season.

Troy Hudson (Min) is scheduled to undergo surgery on his right ankle and
will miss the playoffs.

The NBA broke the 4 ties for the draft.  The ties were broken with a random
draw.  For those teams in the lottery, if one of the 2 teams does not win
one of the top 3 draft spots, then the team that won the draw will draft
before the other team in the 1st round (and the order is switched for the
2nd round).  The LA Clippers won the draw vs Atlanta (28-54).  Toronto won
the draw vs Philadelphia (33-49).  Golden State won the draw with Seattle
(37-45).  Milwaukee won the draw vs New Orleans (41-41) and Atlanta, who
owns Milwaukee's pick, will draft #17 and New Orleans will draft #18.  The
NBA lottery is on May 26 and the NBA draft is on June 24.
