The NBA fined Reggie Miller (Ind) $5,000 for kicking the ball into the
stands after Tuesday's Ind-Det game.

Boston named Dave Wohl and Tony Brown as assistant coaches.

Elton Brand (LAC) underwent surgery on his left knee and right ring
finger, surgeries the doctor called minor and routine.  His recovery time 
is expected to be a month.
