Sacramento signed Anthony Peeler to a 1 year contract with a 2nd year at
Peeler's option.

Portland released Arvydas Sabonis.  Sabonis' $7 million for 03-04 would
have become guaranteed if he had remained with the team after Friday.
Sabonis is considering retiring.

Milwaukee named Jim Todd as an assistant coach.

Washington named Milt Newton as director of player personnel.

TNT signed Doug Collins to a 5 year contract to be a broadcast analyst.

Atlanta signed 1st round draft pick (#21) Boris Diaw back on July 10 to a 3
year, $3,292,920 contract with a 4th year worth $1,870,501 at the team's
