News from June 14.

The LA Lakers named Phil Jackson as head coach.  He was reportedly signed
to a 3 year contract.

Brandon Bowman (junior, Georgetown, forward), Kevin Pittsnogle (junior, 
West Virginia, center), and Eric Williams (junior, Wake Forest, center)
removed their names from the NBA draft.  Underclassmen who had previously
declared themselves eligible for the draft can remove their name from the
draft up to June 21.  The NBA draft is June 28.

Ben Wallace (Det) had 15 points including 7-10 FG, 11 rebounds including 6
offensive, 5 blocks, and 3 steals.
Richard Hamilton (Det) had 24 points.
Chauncey Billups (Det) had 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Antonio McDyess (Det) had 12 points on 6-9 FG, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Bruce Bowen (SA) had 13 points including 4-6 3-pointers.
Tim Duncan (SA) had 14 points including 5-15 FG, 10 rebounds, and 3
steals.
Tony Parker (SA) had 21 points.
SA leads the series 2-1.
