Ronny Turiaf (LAL) underwent heart surgery to repair an enlarged aortic
root and preserve his aortic valve.  He will likely be out for all of the
05-06 season, but should eventually be able to resume his basketball 
career.

Portland signed 2004 1st round draft pick (#23) Sergei Monia to a 2 year
contract with 2 more years at the team's option.
