The NBA named Dirk Nowitzki (Dal) and Dwyane Wade (Mia) as Players of the
Week.  Nowitzki averaged 32.5 points and 8.5 rebounds as Dallas went 4-0.
Wade averaged 27.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 10.7 assists as Miami went
3-0.

Detroit signed Chris Webber.

Golden State recalled Patrick O'Bryant from the NBADL.

New Orleans recalled Marcus Vinicius from the NBADL.

Kurt Thomas (Pho) is expected to be out 4 to 6 weeks with a hyperextended
left elbow.

Cleveland activated Larry Hughes and placed Shannon Brown on IL.
