News from December 10.

The NBA named Brandon Roy (Por) and Josh Smith (Atl) as Players of the
Week for the week ending December 9.  Roy averaged 25.7 points and 7.3
rebounds as Portland went 3-0.  Smith averaged 22 points, 6.3 rebounds,
and 3.3 blocks as Atlanta went 3-1.

Sacramento released Darryl Watkins and signed Dahntay Jones.

Portland assigned Taurean Green to the NBADL.

Randy Wittman (Min coach) rejoined the team 5 days after undergoing back
surgery.

New York activated Randolph Morris and placed Stephon Marbury (personal
reasons) on IL.

Philadelphia activated Calvin Booth and Louis Amundson and placed Shavlik
Randolph and Louis Williams (toe injury) on IL.
