The NBA named Dirk Nowitzki (Dal) as an injury replacement for Kobe Bryant
(LAL, torn ligament right pinky finger) for the 3-Point shooting contest.
Bryant still plans on playing in the All-Star game.

The LA Lakers assigned Coby Karl to the NBADL.
