News from March 26. The NBA Board of Governors approved a rule change. If a team is called for having too many players on the court, the opposing team has the option of either accepting all game action that occurred between when the team first had too many players on the court and the call actually have been made or nullifying all game action (excluding other technicals or flagrant fouls and free throws from such calls) that occurred between when the team first had too many players on the court and the call actually have been made - for the nullification, the game clock and score would be reset to the time when the ball was put into play with too many players on the court. In either case, the offending team would still be assessed a technical foul for too many players on the court.
