TRADE: Sacramento traded Ron Artest, Sean Singletary, and Patrick Ewing
Jr. to Houston for Bobby Jackson, Donte Greene, a future first-round pick,
and cash. 

The LA Lakers signed Josh Powell. 

Phoenix signed Philadelphia free agent Louis Amundson to a 1 year, minimum
contract with a team option for a 2nd year. 

Milwaukee signed Oklahoma City free agent Francisco Elson to a 2 year, $3
million contract. 

Boston signed 1st round draft pick (#30) J.R. Giddens to a 2 year,
$1,986,000 contract with 2 more years worth $3,087,295 at the team's
option.

Brandon Roy (Por) underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left
knee to repair a tear in the meniscus.  He is expected to be out 4 to 8
weeks.
