News from April 1.

The NBA named Stephen Curry (GS) and Brandon Jennings (Mil) as Rookies of
the Month for March.  Curry averaged 19.8 points and 7.3 assists as Golden
State went 4-12.  Jennings averaged 14.1 points and 5.1 assists as
Milwaukee went 11-4.

The NBA named Alvin Gentry (Pho) and Erik Spoelstra (Mia) as Coaches of
the Month for March.  Phoenix went 12-2 and Mia went 12-3.

Spencer Hawes (Sac) is expected to miss the rest of the season with an
injured left knee. 

Malcolm Delaney (junior, Virginia Tech, guard) and Al-Farouq Aminu
(sophomore, Wake Forest, forward) declared themselves eligible for the NBA
draft.

Orlando activated Mickael Pietrus and placed Adonal Foyle on IL.

Dwight Howard (Orl) had 17 points, 20 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
Vince Carter (Orl) had 19 points and 7 rebounds.
Mickael Pietrus (Orl) had 24 points including 7-8 FG and 6-6 3-pointers.
Dirk Nowitzki (Dal) had 24 points and 6 rebounds.
J.J. Barea (Dal) had 16 points including 7-9 FG.
Orl shot 48.6% (35-72) FG and Dal shot 38.3% (31-81) FG.

Carmelo Anthony (Den) had 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 turnovers.
Nene (Den) had 22 points including 9-14 FG, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3
blocks.
Chauncey Billups (Den) had 21 points and 6 assists.
Andre Miller (Por) had 24 points including 8-12 FT.
LaMarcus Aldridge (Por) had 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
