News from June 24. Rasheed Wallace (Bos) announced his retirement from the NBA. Portland fired GM Kevin Pritchard. The 2010 NBA draft occurred. Note that the draft day trades do not include rumored and unofficial trades - most of which were not official due to the trade not being able to be completed until the July Moratorium ends (July 8). Those rumored trades include: a) Chicago trading Kirk Hinrich and the rights to #17 Kevin Seraphi to Washington for a future draft pick and b) New Orleans trading Morris Peterson and the rights to #11 Cole Aldrich to Oklahoma City for the rights to #21 Craig Brackins and #26 Quincy Pondexter.
