News from August 12.

TRADE: New Orleans traded Rasual Butler and cash to the LA Clippers for a
2016 conditional 2nd round draft pick.

Cleveland signed Boston free agent Leon Powe to a 2 year, minimum
contract.  Powe is recovering from a torn left ACL and is expected to be
out until February.

Detroit signed Ben Wallace to a 1 year, minimum contract.  Wallace had
been released by Phoenix on July 13 after reaching a buyout agreement ($10
million, $4 million less than Wallace's 09-10 salary).

Houston signed David Andersen (has been playing in Australia and Europe)
to a 3 year contract.

Houston free agent Von Wafer signed a 2 year, $10 million contract with
Olympiakos of Greece with a player option for the 2nd season.
