News from July 8.

The July Moratorium has ended and teams can now start signing free agents.
The 10-11 salary cap is $58.044 million and the luxury cap is $70.307 
million (teams over that amount have to pay a dollar-for-dollar penalty 
for the amount they are over).  The midlevel exception is $5.765 million 
(all teams have that exception to use towards signing free agents (can be 
used on one player or split up for multiple players)).

TRADE: In a sign-and-trade, Phoenix re-signed Amare Stoudemire to a 5
year, $99.7 million contract and traded him to New York for future 
considerations.

TRADE: Chicago traded Kirk Hinrich, the rights to 1st round draft pick
(#17) Kevin Seraphin, and cash to Washington for the rights to 2006 2nd 
round draft pick (#48) Vladimir Veremeenko (and Washington also gets a
large trade exception).

TRADE: Milwaukee traded the rights to 2nd round draft pick (#44) Jerome
Jordan to New York for cash.

TRADE: New Orleans traded Morris Peterson and the rights to 1st round
draft pick (#11) Cole Aldrich to Oklahoma City for the rights to 1st 
round draft pick (#21) Craig Brackins and 1st round draft pick (#26) 
Quincy Pondexter.

TRADE: In a sign-and-trade, Utah re-signed Carlos Boozer to a 5 year, $75
million contract and traded him to Chicago for a protected 2nd round 
draft pick (and Utah also gets a large trade exception).

Atlanta re-signed Joe Johnson to a 6 year, $120 million contract.

Boston re-signed Ray Allen to a 2 year, $20 million contract.

Boston re-signed Paul Pierce to a 4 year, $61 million contract.

The LA Clippers signed Randy Foye to a 2 year, $8.5 million contract.

The LA Clippers signed Ryan Gomes to a 3 year contract.

The LA Lakers signed Steve Blake to a 4 year, $16 million contract.

Memphis re-signed Rudy Gay to a 5 year, $82 million contract.

Milwaukee re-signed John Salmons to a 5 year, $42 million contract with
the 5th year at the team's option.

Milwaukee signed Drew Gooden to a 5 year, $32 million contract.

Milwaukee signed 1st round draft pick (#15) Larry Sanders to a 2 year,
$3,593,880 contract with 2 more years worth $5,045,128 at the team's 
option.

New Orleans signed 1st round draft pick (#21) Craig Brackins to a 2 year,
$2,711,880 contract with 2 more years worth $3,897,279 at the team's 
option.

New Orleans signed 1st round draft pick (#26) Quincy Pondexter to a 2
year, $2,227,080 contract with 2 more years worth $3,459,799 at the 
team's option.

Oklahoma City signed Kevin Durant to a 5 year, $85 million contract
extension, making him signed through 15-16.

Orlando signed Chris Duhon to a 4 year contract.

Phoenix re-signed Channing Frye to a 5 year, $30 million contract.

Phoenix signed Hakim Warrick to a 4 year, $18 million contract.

Sacramento signed 2nd round draft pick (#33) Hassan Whiteside.

Toronto re-signed Amir Johnson to a 5 year, $34 million contract.

Toronto signed restricted free agent Linas Kleiza to a 4 year, $18.8
million offer sheet.  Denver has 7 days to match the offer.

Toronto signed 2nd round draft pick (#50) Solomon Alabi.

Washington signed 1st round draft pick (#1) John Wall to a 2 year,
$10,674,360 contract with 2 more years worth $13,375,805 at the team's 
option.

Washington signed 1st round draft pick (#23) Trevor Booker to a 2 year,
$2,499,480 contract with 2 more years worth $3,736,100 at the team's 
option.

Atlanta named Lester Conner, Bob Bender, Tyrone Hill, and Greg Ballard as
assistant coaches.

Sacramento named Wayne Cooper as GM.
