News from March 1.

The NBA named Gregg Popovich (SA) and Eric Spoelstra (Mia) as Coaches of
the Month for February.  San Antonio went 11-2 and Miami went 11-2.

The NBA named Isaiah Thomas (Sac) and Kyrie Irving (Cle) as Rookies of the
Month for February.  Thomas averaged 12.2 points and 4.4 assists as
Sacramento went 6-7.  Irving averaged 19.3 points and 5.6 assists as
Cleveland went 5-8.

Atlanta signed Erick Dampier for the rest of the season.

The LA Clippers placed Travis Leslie on IL.

Miami activated Terrel Harris and placed Mickell Gladness and Chris Bosh
(death in family) on IL.

Minnesota activated Kevin Love and placed J.J. Barea on IL.

Portland activated Joel Przybilla and placed Kurt Thomas on IL.
