The NBA fined Dwyane Wade (Mia) $15,000 for making an obscene gesture
during Wednesday's Mia-Cha game.

All-Star starters were announced, as selected by fan voting.  The
commissioner will select the replacement for any injured players and the
West/East coach will selected from the reserves which player will start in
place of an injured player.  The Western Conference starters are: Anthony
Davis (NO), Marc Gasol (Mem), Blake Griffin (LAC), Stephen Curry (GS), and 
Kobe Bryant (LAL).  The Eastern Conference starters are: LeBron James 
(Cle), Pau Gasol (Chi), Carmelo Anthony (NY), John Wall (Cle), and Kyle 
Lowry (Tor).  The All-Star game will take place February 15 in New York

Kobe Bryant (LAL) has been diagnosed with a torn right rotator cuff.

Memphis signed Tyrus Thomas to a 10-day contract.

Chicago activated Doug McDermott.
