Aldridge averaged 26 points and 7.3 rebounds as San Antonio went 4-0. Thomas averaged 20.3 points and 7 assists as Boston went 4-0. New York fired head coach Derek Fisher. Kurt Rambis was named as interim coach. Festus Ezeli (GS) underwent surgery on his left knee to remove debris. The LA Clippers suspended Blake Griffin for 4 games and will withhold his pay for an additional game for punching a friend in January which resulted in Griffin breaking a bone in his right hand. Commissioner Adam Silver named Pau Gasol (Chi) to replace the injured Jimmy Butler (Chi) in the All-Star game. Jimmy Butler (Chi) is expected to be out 3 to 4 weeks with a sprained left knee. Marc Gasol (Mem) was diagnosed with a broken right foot. New York elected not to sign Thanasis Antetokounmpo to a 2nd 10-day contract after he completed his 1st 10-day contract. Dallas activated John Jenkins and placed Jeremy Evans on IL. Milwaukee activated O.J. Mayo. New York activated Lance Thomas. Washington activated Nene and Kris Humphries and placed Gary Neal on IL.
