News from December 4.

Lockout to end: The NBA refs, locked out by the league since September,
voted 27-26 to approve the latest contract proposal.  The regular refs
could be back on the court as early as next week.

The NBA named Anfernee Hardaway (Orl) as Player of the Month.  Hardaway
averaged 27 points, 6.5 assists, and 5.8 rebounds in November as Orlando
went 13-2 despite Shaquille O'Neal being out with an injury.

Stanley Roberts (LAC) is expected to be out up to 6 weeks with a sprained
left ankle.

Rodney Rogers (LAC) is expected to be out up to 2 weeks with a sprained
right ankle.

Boston activated Eric Montross.

Minnesota activated Eric Riley and placed Micheal Williams on IR.  

San Antonio activated Dell Demps and placed Cory Alexander on IR. 

Detroit activated Joe Dumars and placed Mark Macon on IR.
