Dallas signed David Wood to a 10-day contract and placed Lorenzo Williams
on IR.

Chicago placed Luc Longley on IR with a sprained left knee and activated
James Edwards.

Denver named Todd Eley as general manager and Jim Brovelli as director of
player development.

Phoenix activated Danny Manning.

Sacramento activated Clint McDaniel and placed Sarunas Marciulionis on IR
with a slight cartilage tear in his right knee.  Marciulionis underwent
arthroscopic surgery on his knee on Thursday.

Chris Webber (Was) underwent season ending surgery on his right shoulder
Thursday.

The NBA named Phil Jackson (Chi) as Coach of the Month as Chicago went
14-0 in January.

The NBA named Damon Stoudamire (Tor) as Rookie of the Month.  Stoudamire
averaged 20.4 points, 9.8 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in January.

Former Maverick Roy Tarpley signed a multi-year contract with Iraklias of
the Greek League.
