The NBA named Scottie Pippen (Chi) as Player of the Week.  Pippen averaged
32.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists as Chicago went 3-0.

Atlanta activated Tyrone Corbin and placed Ken Norman on IR with a
strained back.

Miami signed Matt Fish to an 10-day contract.

Chicago activated Randy Brown and placed Bill Wennington on IR with
plantar fasciatis in his left foot.

Jayson Williams (NJ) underwent surgery on his right thumb and will be out
at least 4 to 6 weeks.

Portland placed Mitchell Butler on IR with build up of fluid in his left
knee and signed Rumeal Robinson to an 10-day contract.

The LA Lakers signed Larry Krystkowiak to an 10-day contract.
