Denver fired head Coach Dick Motta and assistant coaches Jim Brovelli, 
Gene Littles, and Kip Motta.

The NBA named Chris Webber (Was) as Player of the Week.  Webber averaged
22 points, 15.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2 steals as Washington went
4-0.

The NBA named Kevin Johnson (Pho) as Player of the Month for April.
Johnson averaged 23.2 points and 9.7 assists as Phoenix went 7-3.

The NBA named Allen Iverson (Phi) as Rookie of the Month for April.
Iverson averaged 33.6 points and 8.7 assists in April.

The NBA named Dave Cowens (Cha) as Coach of the Month for April.
Charlotte went 9-2 in April.

The LA Lakers announced that George McCloud will not be on their playoff
roster.  The playoff teams are only allowed to have 12 players on their
active playoff roster.

Chicago announced that Bill Wennington, Dickey Simpkins, and Matt
Steigenga will not be on their playoff roster.

Seattle announced that Craig Ehlo and Steve Scheffler will not be on their
playoff roster.

Houston announced that Sam Mack, Brent Price, and Emanual Davis will not
be on their playoff roster.

Miami announced that Gary Grant will not be on their playoff roster.
