News from May 6.

The NBA announced the All-Rookie teams.  The teams were voted on by the 29
head coaches (a coach could not vote for his own players) who were asked 
to select 5 rookies, regardless of position, for the first team and 5 for 
the second team.  A first team vote was worth 2 points and a second team 
vote was worth 1 point for a maximum of 56 points.  Shareef Abdur-Rahim 
(Van) was the only unanimous first teamer.

Boston hired Rick Pitino as head coach.  The deal is rumoredly a 10 year,
$70 million contract.  Pitino has spent the last 8 years as coach of the 
University of Kentucky.  Boston also fired GM Jan Volk; assistant coaches
K.C. Jones, Dennis Johnson, and John Kuester; director of travel and team
services Wayne Lebeaux; and director of publications and information David
Zuccaro.

Scottie Pippen (Chi) had 29 points including 6-10 3-pointers and 6
rebounds.
Michael Jordan (Chi) had 34 points including 7-10 FT, 11 rebounds, 6
