The new CBA extends throught the 2000-01 season. TRADE: Minnesota traded Andrew Lang to Milwaukee for Minnesota's draft pick that Milwaukee received as part of the draft day Marbury-Allen trade. TRADE: Charlotte traded the rights to draft pick Kobe Bryant to the LA Lakers for Vlade Divac. Philadelphia renounced the rights to Vernon Maxwell, Trevor Ruffin, Greg Sutton, Richard Dumas, Sean Higgins, and LaSalle Thompson. The LA Clippers renounced the rights to Keith Tower. New York will host the 1998 NBA All-Star game.
