News from September 18.

Utah waived Kenny Gattison.  Gattison saw limited playing time in the past
two seasons due to a serious back injury.  Utah aquirred Gattison from
Orlando with Brooks Thompson for Felton Spencer.  Gattison never arrived
in Utah.  It is rumored that he will become an assistant coach for New
Jersey.

Minnesota signed Shane Heal to a 3 year contract.

Minnesota signed Dean Garrett (C) and Virginius Praskevicius (F) to 1 year 
contracts.

Alton Lister (Bos) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder to
repair a torn rotator cuff and impingement.  He will be out until
February.

Dallas named Roger Hinds as the trainer.
