The NBA announced the All-NBA teams.  The teams are selected, by position,
by 116 media members who are asked to select a first team (worth 5
points), a second team (3 points), and a third team (1 point).  Karl
Malone (Uta) and Michael Jordan (Chi) were unanimous first team
selections.

Latrell Sprewell (GS) filed a civil lawsuit against the NBA for $30
million in lost wages and damages.  Sprewell's contract was terminated and
he was suspended from the league for a year in December after he attacked
coach P.J. Carlesimo.  An arbitrator later reinstated his contract and
reduced the suspension (without pay) to July 1.  [clueless jerk]
