Charlotte signed free agent David Wesley to an undisclosed contract.
Wesley played for Boston last season.

Charlotte renounced their rights to Donald Royal and Rafael Addison.

Portland elected not to pick up the option year on Mitchell Butler.
Butler is now a free agent.

Teams have between now and October 1 to re-sign first round picks from the
rookie class of 1995 to new contracts that will start in 98-99 (unlimited 
dollars with a maximum of 7 years - the Larry Bird exception applies).  
First round picks from 1995 who do not agree to a new contract by October 
become free agents next summer.
