Charlotte promoted VP of basketball operations Bob Bass to executive vice
president and gave him a rumored 6 year contract extension.  Bass is now
signed through the 2003-04 season.
 
Boston signed #3 draft pick Chauncey Billups to a 3 year, $8,227,000
contract and signed #6 draft pick Ron Mercer to a 3 year, $6,101,000 
contract.

Chicago re-signed Bill Wennington to a 1 year contract.

Houston re-signed Matt Bullard to a 1 year, $327,000 contract.

Indiana signed Mark West to a 1 year, $1 million contract and signed Mark
Pope.

Orlando signed Tim Kempton.

Utah re-signed Jeff Hornacek to a 2 year contract.
