For the first time in league history, the NBA has cancelled regular season
games due to a labor dispute.  The NBA cancelled the first two weeks of
the season - all games that were to occur November 3 through 16 are gone.
The NBA and Players Association met Tuesday and the players submitted a
proposal to the league.  The NBA is scheduled to submit a counter-proposal
on Friday.  [Boo, hiss to both the players and owners for not meeting once
this summer and allowing this mess to drag on so long.]
