They also announced that the scheduled December 12 game between San Antonio and the LA Clippers in Mexico City has been cancelled. The league said that this will be the last public announcement of games being cancelled until a new collective bargaining agreement is reached between the NBA and the Players Association or until they decided that there are not enough games remaining to have a season and announce the cancellation of the entire 1998-99 season. NBA commissioner David Stern has said that some of the lost games may possibly be rescheduled during the season and/or extending the season some and starting the playoffs at a later date. So far 194 regular season games have been cancelled.
