News from May 6.

Eddie Jones (Cha) underwent surgery on his right hand to repair a flexor
tendon, an artery, and a nerve.  He is expected to be out 3 months.

Lamont Long (junior, New Mexico, guard), Leon Smith (King High School
(Chicago), center), Carl Boyd (junior, California, guard-forward), and
DeeAndre Hulett (freshman, College of the Sequoias, forward) declared
themselves eligible for the NBA draft.  Underclassmen have until May 16 to
