The NBA named Kevin Garnett (Min) as Player of the Week.  Garnett averaged
25.5 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists as Minnesota went 2-0.

Atlanta suspended Isaiah Rider for one game for violating team rules.

The LA Lakers activated John Celestand and placed Tyronn Lue on IR with
tendinitis in his right knee.

Orlando signed Earl Boykins, released Armon Gilliam, and placed Matt
Harpring on IR with a torn tendon in his left ankle.  Harpring is expected
to be out 3 to 5 months.

New Jersey activated Kerry Kittles and placed Michael Cage on IR with a
lower back strain.

Seattle activated Chuck Person and placed Jelani McCoy on IR with a
sprained right ankle.
