Toronto fired head coach Butch Carter.

Atlanta named Alvin Gentry as an assistant coach.

Portland sent their 2000 2nd round draft pick (#57) to Detroit to 
complete the 1999 Bonzi Wells trade.

Phoenix re-signed assistant coaches Frank Johnson and Phil Weber to 3 
year contracts and signed Jim Boylan as an assistant coach to a 3 year 
contract.  Assistant Roger Reid was fired.
