News from July 21. Sean Elliott (SA) is in need of a kidney transplant. Elliott is suffering from focal segmental glomerular sclerosis and has knowned about his need for a transplant for a number of months. Once the transplant occurs (a match must first be found), the doctors expected it to take 2 to 3 months to determine if Elliott will be able to resume his basketball career, though Elliott believes that he will be able to do so. San Antonio is preparing for the season as though Elliott will not be able to play. Ricky Davis (Cha) underwent surgery on his right foot to repair a fracture of the fifth metatarsal.
