Afghans welcome snow.
Afghans hope the snow means relief from the drought that has gripped
Afghanistan for years. A picture of Ahmad Shah Masoud, the famous
Afghan commander is shown in the background. Most Afghans carry
his picture with them because of their esteem for him.
This picture was taken front of a hospital that caters to mainly
military injuries and sickness.
