RON ARNOLD presented his assessment of the natural gas industry in a presentation titled, "Protecting Access to Production" at the Public Affairs Forum of the American Gas Association in Santa Fe, New Mexico on April 16 , 2004.

Arnold pointed to the vast supply of clean-burning natural gas we have right here in America, but warned that supply is being choked off by environmentalist lawsuits, appeals and propaganda that stop development. Environmentalist blockage of supply in the face of continuing demand pushes prices up. But the guilty environmentalists don't get the blame when prices go up, although they are the primary culprit. They claim they are not guilty, but they don't stop blocking access to production - evidence that could only be seen one way.

The environmental groups that grab headlines are mostly puppets dancing on the strings of large wealthy foundations with anti-development agendas. Arnold demonstrated the point by a close analysis of The Energy Foundation, a conglomerate foundation made up of 7 other foundations. The money these anti-industry foundations pay to stop energy development is making prices higher and weakening national security. Their assets alone are staggering:
