Congratulations on your complaint.  Getting in their face is the only thing they understand.  I'll be sending a contribution.  Incidentally, you might want to look at PETA's connection to terrorists through the case of Huntingdon Life Sciences.  While PETA was doing an "undercover investigation" aimed at destroying the company's business in the U.S., the UK bad boys were engaging in arson, home invasions, threats of violence against shareholders, etc.  Tell me there isn't a connection. I've got files.

It truly gave me joy when I read in the news that your organization had recommended to revoke PETA's tax-exempt status in light of its endorsement of militantly imposing its beliefs on others. I also find it a particularly delightful surprise to learn that your organization is headquartered in Bellevue, WA, which I pass through on my daily commute. I think your organization has just earned a fan!

Ladies/Gentlemen:

I read the article in the Eastside Journal on your fight against these totally radical leftist groups like PETA and the Eco-Terrorists who are trying to destroy life as we know it!

Thanks for the work you are doing!  I am a very staunch defender of America and its freedoms and cannot stand these idiotic people who really come from a secular humanistic, and animistic view of the world almost putting animals on the same or higher level than mankind - maybe even as "gods"!   Our nation has historically had a Judeo-Christian perspective on man's relationship with animals - and that is, we are to be stewards of the animal kingdom for not just the proper treatment of them as in the role of a "husbandman", but also by recognizing that they have been put on earth to bless mankind by providing us clothing, food, aesthetic and domestic friendship and beauty (as with domestic animals) etc!  But certainly, it was NEVER intended that we equate them with mankind or "worship them"!!  Because of their twisted view of the animal world, they have militaristically attempted to give them the same rights as mankind and as a result you have some extremely aggressive PETA believers!  We'll probably never convince them of the error of their ways, BUT WE MUST STOP THEIR TERRORIST TACTICS AND LAWBREAKING!!

Obviously they have a right to their opinions and we will defend that - AS LONG AS IT IS LAWFUL AND DOESN'T INFRINGE ON THE RIGHTS OF THOSE WHO DON'T AGREE WITH THEM!!

Keep up the good work!

Just a quick, congratulatory note on filing the complaint against PETA.  I agree that any organization that promotes, condones, or engages in criminal activity has no right to enjoy tax-exempt status.  I only hope that your complaint does not fall on deaf ears.

Keep up the good work,

I applaud your efforts against PETA.  It's high time that something like your effort were brought before the IRS.  I agree with you that many of their efforts cross the line of legality.  From my perspective, all of their "philosophy and world-view" crosses the line of common sense!  Go get 'em...Jack,

Hello
Finally someone has the sense and courage to challenge PETA's tax exempt status. They're a fringe group far removed from the mainstream of common sense environmentalism. It deserves to have its tax exempt status revoked.
Now, how about Friends of the Earth, etc and all the other groups that use tax exempt status to mask naked political activism?? There's so much work to be done.
Good luck,
Jeff M.

I firmly support your action against PETA.  While you have the IRS on them, please ask that the IRS review PETA's compliance with their tax status.  I believe that PETA is 501(3)c, and I think the rules prohibit a  501(3)c organization from lobbying with tax deductible funds....

Was just reading the Drudge Report and read where you filed a complaint against PETA to have their tax-exempt status revoked- to that I say "RIGHT ON!!!!."  They should be recognized for what they are....  Plain and simple, the laws they break, they do not deserve that tax-exempt status. Keep up the good work!!!

It is about time someone stood up to the "peaceful" ... group PETA.
Why should the Government give a group that constantly breaks the law and tries to intimidate law abiding citizens anything!

I saw your piece in the drudge report and actually was quite pleased to see your site on the web.  I will browse and stay up on other articles you publish .  Thank you for your efforts to reveal the truth and fight the bleeding hearts who protest simply because it is in fashion with their crowd.  If I should become financially independent as I am planning to, I would dedicate myself to the frontlines in the culture wars of battling these people where they are vulnerable- in the court of public opinion.

I come from a farm background and studied agriculture, horticulture, and economics . This was not my only sin, I also went to college on a G.I. bill- so as you can see, a WASP like me had some rude awakenings in the liberal campus compounds.

I will soon send a small donation to your cause and hope to get the info on what is going on in my community of Louisiana that I can help with. Until then- my friends, conservative, meat eating- god fearing-blue collared warmest regards!

Dear Mr. Gottlieb,
I saw your appearance on the "O Factor" tonight and was impressed.  I had never heard of your organization before, but have now visited your website.
I plan to visit it often to learn more about your work.
The representative from PETA appeared strident and hysterical.  Her message, if she had one, was lost in her rather rabid attacks.  Your response was measured and by comparison only made your position stronger.
Sincerely,
Norma

Dear CDFE:
I wanted to let you know how much I admired your representative attacking PETA on The O'Reilly Factor Thursday evening. It's refreshing to see someone take to task an organization that should itself be considered a terrorist group. It reminds me of tactics they employ such as throwing blood (or red paint) on people wearing fur or leather clothing. Non-profit groups such as theirs need to be constantly monitored for illegal or unethical activities.
Sincerely,
Jim

Tell that guy on the Orielly factor that he did a great job.

Too bad his opponent was such a babe... Yet in spite of this disadvantage, I have no doubt that he won the audience to his side.

Hi Alan!
Just caught the tail end of your appearance on The Reilly Factor.  Good job!
I have been following the antics of PETA for more than 10 years and found that they indicted themselves in the book "Monkey Business" written by PETA staffer Kathy Guillermo.  I bought the book in preparation for a visit by Guillermo back in 1993.
In the book she brags that PETA co-founder Alex Pacheco stole a crate of rats from a UPS truck parked across the street from his fraternity house.
When I confronted her on this, she bragged that this was one of the earliest actions of the ALF in the US.  I have this on videotape.
If you think it would be of value to you, I can provide you with a copy of the videotape.

Dear Sirs,

I saw your Mr. Alan Gottlieb on the O'Reilly Factor 3/7/02.  He did an excellent job refuting the lies of his PETA opponent.    We appreciate your organization and that which you do for decent Americans.  For that reason, I humbly request that Mr. Gottlieb contact me by phone, e-mail, fax or letter.  I have some information which I'm certain is of value and may be of interest to Mr. Gottlieb and other like-minded conservatives.

Respectfully,

J.C.

Subject: peta.org vs cdfe.org and The Factor.
Dear webmasters and Mr. O'Reilly,
The heated discussion on the factor the other night led me to investigate both organizations' websites. I was looking for more information related to the Rodney Coronado story. What I found was far more interesting...
The technology choices made by these two organizations for their respective websites is ironic. www.peta.org is running Microsoft-IIS/5.0, using Active Server Pages on Windows 2000 from (big business) Microsoft. www.cdfe.org is running Apache/1.3.17 on Linux (a community supported software) using static HTML for their website.
Considering the political positions of these two parties, I would have suspected the technology choices would have been reversed.
Keep up the good work Mr. O'Reilly,
C.C.
Southbury CT
P.S. I tend to agree with the Linux Free (as in freedom) software choice made by the people at cdfe.org. I am a firm believer in the gnu.org software philosophy and tend to shy away from the closed source non-free software produced at Microsoft.

CDFE Administrators,
Kudos for your expose of PETA (People Encouraging Terrorist Activities) on KVI. I figured they had to have some shadow connection to the ELF and other anti-capitalist groups. If it quacks like a duck...
Keep up the good work.
Dan
