September 1, 2008 I hope this note finds you healthy and content. I am embarrassed to have taken so long to update our class website, but have finally gotten around to it. Please excuse my procrastination. I live in the Seattle area, and my way of keeping apprised of Canadian current events is by watching the odd CBC news broadcast, the Rick Mercer Report and the likes of This Hour Has 22 Minutes. I have also found reading Veritas, and occasionally the weekly e-Veritas, to be most informative, and at times entertaining. I enjoy hearing from classmates all around the world. Although we have classmates, family and friends in volatile locations like Iraq and Afghanistan, the world doesn't look like it's going to change overnight. I pray for their safe return. It is difficult to imagine that it has been 27 years since most of us entered the "hallowed" halls of RMC, and almost 25 years since graduation. Lot's of life altering events have no doubt taken place. Some of us have changed jobs (again), spouses, and even have children that are in college, married or even having children of their own. I look forward to catching up with you in 2010-if not before, if just to find out how many grandparents are in our class - not me … yet. Tim Patriquin has volunteered to look into how we might best collect $100,000 to be presented to the College on our 30th Reunion (in 2015). Please expect to receive information from him. The College grounds have changed quite a bit, especially with the newly completed dormitory adjacent to Massey Library. I plan to take photos when I go to Ex-Cadet Weekend this month-and will post them shortly thereafter-certainly by Thanksgiving. I am still open to the idea of someone else being our Class Secretary, taking over in 2010 (or before if you'd like). Please let me know if you are interested in undertaking this enormous responsibility. With the Summer Olympics behind us and soon the US Presidential election too, hopefully things will improve, especially on the world peace and economic fronts. Take care and I hope to see you soon.
