As we returned to Marangu Gate, I asked Aseri if I could have a photograph of him. He wanted to change his clothes first. He came back with the nicest outfit I'd ever seen him wear in six days of hiking.

The sign at Marangu Gate provides a nice summary of the elevations at each stop during the climb.
